The Mesa XL is a workhorse for the bush or out in the field. The 4.75" handle fills your hand with a secure grip while the 4.5" cutting edge performs hard work. While choking back on the handle, you can use the longer blade to chop small branches or shrubs.
This specific model features a CPM 3V blade that is treated and cryo'd to 63 HRc. There is a full-flat bevel ground on this piece with an edge thickness of roughly 12 thou. What is great about 3V is that is incredibly tough for whatever hard-use tasks you put it through. The black G10 bolster complements the natural maple burl rear of the handle scale that is seperated by a triple segment of near-pure copper.
