This piece has the shine of copper within the dark black maple burl. The copper liners are on either side of a tapered tang that tapers down to just over 1mm thick. This tapered tang helps reduce the weight of the knife as the copper adds to the mass. The copper liners are also skeletonized to further manage the added weight.
