A knife is a tool; it is designed to be used. When I created Trails Edge, I wanted to make knives that were created with ergonomics and function in the foreground. I have spent years adjusting my designs to have no hotspots, to be comfortable in multiple hand sizes, and to work in multiple grip styles. If it isn't comfortable, you won't use it. Every single piece is made from scratch, by hand, by me. Cutting steel, heat treat/cryo, handles, and leather work are just some of the many steps.
Once form and function are covered, I don't stop there. I go the extra step and make sure everything is fitted together perfectly, everything is symmetrical, and it is polished to a perfect finish. Just because it is a tool doesn't mean it can't be beautiful at the same time. Every piece is entirely made in Canada.
