Unlike the majority of my pieces, this knife has a fully etched spine and tang. The scales are beautiful pieces of dyed curly maple that have a slight bull nose next to the tang. What makes the bird and trout so great is the thin nature of the handle for maneuverability while you hold it in any and all manners while in use.
